Customisable cactus cushions

Fancy a original, fun sewing project to do as a family? These customisable cactus cushions are perfect for sharing a creative moment with the children 🌵

This project is very easy to sew: it was even the first sewing project completed by the designer’s son. Everyone can design their own cactus, thanks to a multitude of possible combinations… and every member of the family can have a cushion that reflects their personality!

The pattern offers 4 basic shapes to personalise with 17 elements (eyes, mouth, eyebrows, flowers…). Enough to create cacti with a variety of expressions, a bit like smileys.
A really nice bonus: the mouth can be used as a pocket to slip in a little note — a lovely idea for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

• Non-stretch fabric (cotton, canvas, upholstery fabric, fleece, denim, etc.): up to 35 cm
• Filling
• Fleece for the arms of patterns A and B (or replace with a little wadding if you don’t have any)
• Felt
• Whatever you fancy: buttons, wool, sequins…
