MATHILA is a pattern designed for sewing a children’s fancy dress costume that is simple, comfortable and easy to put on. Originally designed for a witch, it lends itself just as well to other themes depending on your inspiration and the fabrics you choose: fairy, imaginary character or party costume.

The MATHILA dress has been designed to be worn with ease:

• No fastenings or button plackets
• Wide, teardrop-shaped neckline, for easy slip-on wear
• Elasticated waist, so it can be worn on its own or over other clothes
• A comfortable design, ideal for long periods of play

🧙♀️ Sleeve options & finishes

Two sleeve options are available:

• Straight sleeve
• Wider sleeve, with a ‘ripped’-look hem, much loved by little witches

The bottom of the dress can also be:

• straight
• or with a ‘ripped’ effect, to accentuate the costume’s style

• A pointed hat with a brim, perfect for completing a witch’s costume… or to adapt to suit your chosen character.
