In October 2022, my second book, Couture for the Festive Season, was published by Éditions Marie-Claire.
A book dedicated to festive outfits, exploring fabrics, shapes, drapes and cuts: from the little black dress to the deconstructed crop top, via the loose yet chic jumpsuit and the geometric clutch bag.
This book gave rise to a mini-collection entitled Let the party begin…, which brings together the standout and innovative pieces from the project.
The La Prodigieuse skirt is one of the most spectacular creations.

La Prodigieuse certainly lives up to its name.
Its generous volume, its magnificent movement and its playful panels make it a maxi skirt with maximum impact. A statement piece, designed to turn heads and enhance every step.

Intermediate, or beginners keen for new challenges.
Making this skirt requires the ability to handle large amounts of fabric and, depending on your choices, lightweight and varied fabrics.
💡 Tip: to simplify the sewing, it’s perfectly possible to make La Prodigieuse from a single fabric.

- Fabric: between 200 and 350 cm (width 140 cm), depending on the size and variations chosen
- 1 zip measuring 22 cm
- A little iron-on interfacing to reinforce the waistband
👗 Which fabric should you choose?
Depending on the look you want:
- for a light and flowing effect: viscose, linen, crepe, Tencel, lightweight cotton…
- for a more voluminous, princess-style skirt: heavier cotton or jacquard
For a real ‘wow’ effect, you can also experiment with lace or tulle to create sheer panels on the lower sections of the skirt.
