👗 Collection Let the party begin…
In October 2022, my second book was published: Couture for the Festive Season by Éditions Marie-Claire.
A book dedicated to festive outfits, exploring fabrics, shapes, drapes and cuts, from the essential little black dress to the deconstructed crop top, via the loose yet chic jumpsuit and the geometric clutch bag.
This book gave rise to a mini-collection: Let the party begin…, which brings together the standout and innovative pieces from the project.
La Captivante is one of them.
❤️ The La Captivante cape, in a nutshell
Enveloping, feminine and elegant, La Captivante is an cape ideal for mid-season.
It can be worn tied at the waist to define the silhouette, or loose, left to flutter in the breeze for a more fluid effect.
Available in one size, it naturally adapts to body shapes from S to XL.
💪 Level of difficulty
La Captivante is aimed at adventurous beginner seamstresses.
Making it requires, in particular:
- handling large amounts of fabric,
- making a buttonhole.
An accessible yet challenging project.
